Hey Julie, this was shot with Large Zone, Center Group. The clear sky was no trouble for this and the All 65pt mode. It always seems to grab focus where it needs to be rather than on the close wing tip. I would use Expand or Surround points for more tricky situations though.

Good to know. I also have the 7D MK II and am eager to experiment with the focusing systems for various applications, but just not have had the time.

Hi Kester, good down stroke of the near wing, and good detail on the whites. It looks like this fellow played in some mud, and agree, a little more space in front wont harm.
