Great action pose. Mid-tones still too dark. Sharp. Bummer on the head angle. I would love to see a repost with curve pulled up in the middle. Gorgeous bird. What's in its bill?

Love the 7D II to death. See two 7D II/14X III/600 II images in today's blog post here (http://www.birdsasart-blog.com/2014/11/22/what-i-said-about-the-canon-eos-7d-mark-ii-at-bosque/). And tons more on the 7D II in the blog for the past month....

Richard:
Dynamic pose great, angled perch, even though man made, works well. Artie hit the important points.

Glad you are enjoying your new toy!

Cheers

Richard very much like the open wing pose, not the most comfortable perch to land on, colours on the bird and the whites look good to me, what is that in it's bill?

Cheers Keith.

Thanks for the input and comments Arthur, Randy and Keith. Appreciate it! I think it is a large tadpole (difficult to be sure with all the algae but that is a pretty good bet at this time of year). Cheers. Rich

Hi Rich, great perching pose with the swept back wings, and great to see his catch. Looks like it was overcast, so I agree with Artie to add a touch more exposure.

Which hide was this from?

Pretty neat image overall. I agree with the critiques already offered. I image the "nails on a chalkboard" sound when looking at the claws on the metal perch!

Thanks guys! Stu, it was at the duiker hide. Have an awesome Sunday evening!
