Rough-Legged Hawk

Hi Everyone,
Haven't posted to the forum for a while. It's been a slow start to raptor season up here on Vancouver Island. However, we have had a recent visitor that has made it worth while to go out for a shoot. Here is an image of a rough-legged hawk. Apparently they are seen on the odd occasion but don't always come out to the coast in the winter time. This is a juvenile bird that was not at all afraid of photographers.

Stats: Canon EOS-1D Mark 4, 600mm IS 2 with 1.4X, 1/1600sec, F/6.3, ISO640

I dream of the day I encounter a wild and free Rough-legged Hawk that does not flee from 300 yards away!! I'd be all over that bird, as I'm sure you were:S3:. Excellent image, one that I would give a bit more space for the comp though. Looking forward to more form this subject!
