That is one fine image, the exposure, colours and detail in the butterfly are excellent, I lke the background too. Regarding the sedum plant I think I would crop the base to just above the petal that is third in from the right hand side - i.e. approx 1.2/1.3 cm off the base.

A super image! Great detail on the butterfly, nice & parallel to the camera, and a stunning mottled yellow bkgd. Jonathan has a good suggestion about cropping some of the foreground away. The blurred parts are distracting and really are not needed to balance the image.

Hi Nancy and Jonathan. Thanks to your valuable comments. As far as I understood you prefer this crop version:

Miro, happy about the base but I think you have also taken some off the left hand side, personally I would not have done so...... I think a little more like this:

Very nice image with lovely background and stunning details on the butterfly. If it were mine I would crop even a little more from the bottom. Well done. -- Allen

Thanks Allen and Jonathan. Yes the last frame could be the best. Thanks again.

Hi Miro. Outstanding sharpness and detail on the butterfly. The browns go very nicely with the yellows and greens in the rest of the image. I agree about the soft areas at the bottom of the frame and your repost is a nice improvement. Excellent work!
