This one is another from Portugal`s beautiful nort moutains, Gerês. More specifically this is one of the several waterfalls that we can encounter on Gerês. The BW choice for me bring out the key element in the image, the water.

Feedback kindly appreciated.

You did a nice job with the B & W.
The sky has a lot of drama to it and the falls is well done.
I wish the large bush on the horizon was not there.....

Hi Luis

This has very nice water and sky, and I agree with Dan on that bush blocking the sky.. maybe a small crop from the bottom? (don't like the blurry base of the falls..)

Hi Luis, I also think a small crop from the bottom is needed...not much, just a little. Overall I do like the composition as is and the B&W conversion makes it very dramatic, but for my tastes the blacks are just a bit too dark. Looking forward to more!

Thanks for the feedback Don. The blurry base is dued to the Long Exposure. Are you referng to this effect?

Thanks for the feddback Andrew. The BW was created with enphasis on the falls, darkening the surroundigs just a little. I have others from other waterfalls in Gerês but with the same pattern.

I like my B&W stuff to be moody and high in tonal contrast, and you achieved that nicely here. Perhaps the edges furthest from the falling water are a bit too dark though, I think it can stand some detail recovery without losing the moody feel?
