The impressive size difference, the uplifted gaze of chick, well exposed, works for me.

I could see a version cropped as a vertical, to really play up the height difference, esp. since the adult is already cropped, and the negative space to the left doesn't add a lot.

Fun. Made me smile.

Geoffrey, I liked this the first time I saw it, and still do. Although the negative space on the left helps emphasize the smallness of the cygnet, the idea of a vertical crop has a lot of merit. Can't wait to see it.

Thanks Everyone for your compliments, and though I like the original crop, because of popular requests here is a vertical crop. Maybe as suggested by Shawn a square crop would also work.

My first thoughts were so cute but needs to be a vertical, and boy what a difference it makes. The interaction and intimacy were lost in the horizontal version.
