Awesome image! Absolutely love the the way the BG is fading away almost in reverse of the foreground giving the image a 3d like POP.

A lot to like here, Gail. Love the graduated BG and your plover and vegetation pop so well against it. Your bird is full of amazing details, and I can almost count each granule of sand.

I really like this, Gail. A welcome change from the usual bare-beach plover shots. The green adds a lot to the image, and the graduated bg is lovely. Well done as usual.

I was thinking Florida....has that feel to it. Lovely, clean image of a bird in fine feather. My fav part of the image is the rising (or setting) sun reflected in his eye. A treasure.

Excellent image Gail! I like the setting, IQ, details, BG and composition. The Plover really stands out nicely against the plant.

Wow to the layers in the bg and light quality overall. Sweet little wall of vegetation to photograph this cutie against. Compositionally strong subject placement in the frame. Excellent image Gail.

Nothing to fault here, everything looks great. I really like that vegetation, very cool...looks like the plover is using it as some sort of shield against wind or detection (from the other side of course!).

Thank you all for your comments.
For Daniel- you are absolutely correct about the plover using the vegetation to protect itself from the wind. It was an incredibly windy day that day.
