I might as well label these guys as (C). Another visitor to my feeders this morning, in cloudy light.

Canon 5D3, 600 mm f/4 II, ISO 1600, f/13, 1/250. Big Gitzo tripod with Wimberley II head. Normal adjustments in LR then to PS for some touchup on the perch and minor bill cleanup. Viveza to darken the ends of the perch. More contrast and color tweaks but I don't think I went far enough. Cloudy light is difficult for colors on these guys. No NR or sharpening.

Diane, I like the flat, even light here. Colors look fine to me, natural and not over done. Bird is nice and sharp tip to tail. Only thing I might do is run a bit of Noise reduction on the background. Nicely done.

Nice sharp look at this handsome finch. The profile pose gives perfect even sharpness to the bird. The birds colors look good and the BG is nice but could use some NR to remove the texture. Well done Diane.

Nice bird and BKGR but you need to go perch-hunting; the stub of the broken branch is a distraction. Rotating the perch might have hidden that. The bird and its head are angled ever-so-slightly away from you. EXP is fine and I like the soft light.

Do you not routinely sharpen your JPEGs???

Lovely shot, it looks sharp but I would be tempted to apply 1 round of SS at 50, 0.1, I have never seen this species but the colours look very natural to me.

Everything looks good here, but you just needed to "pish" to get the head turned a bit more towards us. I'm OK with the perch, but yes, perch hunting is fun and you can get some that are a lot more than just "OK":S3:.

Lovely image Diane. The bird, the background, the perch all compliment and work together. The colors look perfect to me. Thank you for sharing.

Bird is great but agree with the others that a nicer perch could be found!
A bit of NR on the BG would be great,
Gail
