Hi all. Harry and I were out early one morning at Viera Wetlands waiting for some action, and the clouds to part. And then for about 10 minutes, right before the clouds cleared completely, everything had this wonderful glow about it. Well, I grabbed my Tokina 12-24 and put it on the D200 and came up with several images that I really like, this being one. f 10 at 22mm iso 100. Thanks for looking a commenting.:)

Hi Nancy,
You did well separating the palms in this image. Not sure you were able to get down lower........but it would have helped the palms project even more into the sky. Debating the right fg grasses.......but it does make a nice line for the palms in the distance. A little more contrast and saturation in the cloud/sky would also help the overall look IMO..........minor corrections.
Nicely done.

Hi Nancy,

Know what you are talking about as I have had similar experiences there. I think Roman was right on with his critique. I think the right FG grasses help to balance the image and being dark there helps to keeping them from dominating the center of interest - the palms.

The composition works well for me. Get a little better sky and man this would be great. I might even try a black and white here. Just some thoughts.

Hi Nancy,

Thanks all for your encouraging words. I am practicing up for my Grand Teton and Yellowstone visit in September.

It is a little OT here but when will you be in Yellowstone? My wife and I changed our plans (due to business) and planning now to visit Yellowstone in mid September.
