Detail of swirls in a Yellowstone mud pot. Topaz Impression - manual selection of thin brush and cook 'til done. Blended back a blurred version, luminosity for added depth (subtle). Additional detailing w/ Nik Silver Efex - monochromatic.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers,

Dynamite composition and very engaging. The lines you captured are wonderful, and I like your processing. A wider range of tones would be possible, but I prefer it like this.

Very neat, Michael. It reminds me of peacock feathers.:S3:

I like the design of the image. It reminds me of vortices viewed from above. I also like the pencil-like lines from Impressions.

Dennis, Cheryl, Jackie,

Thanks much! I've worked on synthetic images of computer simulated fluid flows that look much like this, so it has the appeal of being from the natural world for me.

Cheers,

Gorgeous and beautifully rendered! I could see it with a little more on the top, bottom and left, if you have it. But I'll take it like this!!

Pretty cool stuck Michael, reminds me of marble. Good choice of pano composition. Thanks for sharing.

Very cool! Love how you created the thin, but dominant swirls and that busy abstract bkgd that compliments and does not compete. Very creatively created!
