Hi All:

We are pleased to announce the winners of September's Close- Up Theme. Special thanks to Anette Mossbacher who judged the September Theme. Once again, there was lots of participation and great images. Bragging rights this month go to:

1st Place - Gabriela Plesea, "Attitude" - http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php/122917-Attitude

2nd Place - Marc Mol, "Carnivore" - http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php/123328-Carnivore

3rd Place - Sanjeev Aurangabadkar, "Leopard Cub Close-Up" - http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php/123399-Leopard-Cub-Close-up

Congrats to Gabriela, Marc and Sanjeev!

We're also happy to announce that the November Theme will be "Textures." Post your images highlighting textures in Wildlife. This is a great theme to highlight people's creativity, Forum rules still apply. As always, please use the "Theme" prefix from the dropdown menu. Theme images will be critiqued just like other images and are eligible for IOTW honors.

In the meantime, keep posting your October Theme images of "Antlers & Horns."

Dear mods, can you explain the theme of this month a little more? What do you mean by texture? Loi

Hi Loi - For the "Textures" theme in November we're looking for images that showcase the textures found in Wildlife whether it be the hide of an animal, the fur, horns, from a mud bath or something else. It's a theme that we hope will encourage people to think a bit outside the box too.

Hope that helps,
Rachel
