Taken at the same location where I photographed the Curve-billed Thrasher. Not quite as cooperative as the CBT, but I cant complain about the pose and choice of perch. Take a look at the colors, and you'll know why it's called a Cactus Wren!

I got a bit lucky on this one. With at singing pose I should have gone with a faster SS and raised that ISO - and it cost me some images. Lesson learned.

I like the interesting perch, pose, sharpness, open beak and dark BG. Composition wise I would take a little off the back and add it in front of the bird. Very well done Miguel.

Wonderful color harmony here, with nice pose, soft background, good eye.

Agree with Jim about a slightly diff. crop, nice as is however.

Cheers

Super image Miguel, really like the perch and pose as well as a dark BG (which helps the bird to pop). Agree with Jim.. I would also add a bit to the front.

Lovely image I love the colour palette - such complimentary colours with the bird and perch. I agree regards crop - one fine image well worth the time and effort expended.

Great looking bird, perch and BG. Agree on the comp change. The calling pose adds a lot, and the bird really pops against the green BG.

Applying the crop suggestion will put the cherry on top of this fine image. I like the light here, very soothing.
