One from my archives. Made this image couple of years back by stacking up around 8 or 10 frames for DOF. This spider was sitting still on a plant in my balcony.
Equipment:
Nikon D300 with Nikkor 105mm macro on a tripod
(don't have the exposure details; sorry)
Comments, views most welcome.

This is wonderful! Gorgeous lighting, colors, sharpness and composition! I'd love to see it bigger -- verticals don't get a fair chance on a computer screen.

Yes, as Diane told, verticals don't get fair chance. Instead 900 pixels limit for verticals I would approve at least 1080 pixels. Well done stacking technique, it's sharp from perch to spider. Great composition too. TFS.
Cheers!

A lovely glow to the spider and wonderful background in addition to the excellent composition and fruits of stacking.

Wow that's good love the detail and the lighting. Shame about the abrupt end to the blade of grass but a minor point compared to the wonderfully lit spider.

I love the dramatic lighting, the comp, and the overall sharpness! Excellent work!
