Has been a while since I had time to go out shooting. Looking at old files. I sort of like this one. Does it work for you?

Works for me, Enrique. The bird is beautiful and the background is to die for. I might be tempted to play with levels, brightening the whites on the bird or increasing the contrast -- but that might destroy the lovely soft feeling of the image. In any case I'd love to have this one.

Excellent image with magical color pallet.

I agree with Bill. The BG is wonderful but I feel that you could bump up the blacks selectively on the bird and/or use the levels tool in photoshop. I would also enhance the saturation ever so slightly in the BG.

PS Can you answer my question re: the workflow you used on the whites in my SEPL picture?

Thanks for your suggestions. Working from the OP w/o going back to the tiff file... this is what I came up with... If I was starting from the cr2 file, I would try these last steps earlier in the workflow.

I like the head turn, low angle, and absolutely beautiful background colours and horizontal barring. Of personal preference I do find the blue cast a bit strong on the subject, but perhaps you were going for the cooler look.

Beautiful low angle shot with a lovely BG! The BG colors are awesome! Agree about the color cast and low contrast. TFS

This is a pretty powerful image, esp with your stunning, multi-layered BG. Agree the blue cast on the bird is a bit strong. I've done a color balance layer on only the bird. You may not be able to see it unless you bring the 2 into PS, but I think the bird works better with less blue.
