While the female Painted Bunting is no where as colorful as her counterpart, and often gets overlooked, I think she's still a pretty little thing. Taken at Laguna Seca ranch, just north of Edinburg, TX. from a blind with Nikon D7000, 500mm f/4-P @ 1/2000, f/5.6, ISO 640. Did a spot healing on a couple of the leaves that had some distracting blight on them. I welcome all comments and suggestions. I'm really trying to get better, and the comments help me a lot. :S3:

nice pose and sharp details, I like the perch too and a small berry. overall the image is a bit too bright (especially BG). I would reduce the brightness/contrast a bit

Great image, excellent setting, background and pose. The color of the female in nice on its own right.

Great pose, nice perch. I agree that the image is maybe a tad overexposed. I would also crop a little tighter, but that's just me. Well captured.

It does seem too bright to me too on here. I may need to re-calibrate my monitor. Thanks for the comments!

Is this any better? I brought down the brightness/contrast some.
