Hello all, my name is Walker, and I live in Phoenix, Arizona. I am 18 years old. I started photographing birds in May 2013, out of curiosity about the hummingbirds I would often see in our backyard. It quickly turned into a passion.

I am inspired by all of the excellent bird images I see here and throughout the internet. I particularly love the tropical bird work of Glenn Bartley.

I shoot with the Nikon D7100 and Nikkor 300mm f4 with 1.4x TC.

I look forward to learning on this site, and helping others improve their images through critiquing, etc.

Here is the image that, once I got it, ensured I was hooked for life on bird photography:

Let me add my welcome, Walker, from a fellow Phoenician BPN'er. You'll learn a lot here. Maybe I'll bump into you down at the Gilbert Riparian Preserve some day. Join us at the Phoenix Camera Club some time (google it for meeting details).
