One of my favorite subjects...Not an easy one either. Only easy thing is that the subjects remains pretty still....

Ooohh -- The light on the craters is just gorgeous. Looks like you had clear air. Are you at a high altitude?

I love moon shots and keep doing them myself. Have shot some at 1200 mm but atmospheric turbulence is a killer there -- almost better to use a shorter focal length.

Hi Diane...No I am not at too high an altitude about 600 feet above see level I actually work in a game reserve on the outskirts of the Kruger National park and there is no light pollution out here.

This came out very nicely, Dumay!
Might even try a version with the moon more in the top left corner and more dead space bottom and right?

Thanks Morkel. I think you are right a little up and left in the frame would work nicely.
