Canon 5D MkIII, EF 24-105mm f/4L IS at 105mm, Av Mode, ISO 800, +2/3EV, f/13, resulting in 1/640-sec., hand held (tripod in other car) with Raw conversion in DxO Optics Pro 9.5.

When I look at it in a larger size, I think that I need another pass with the PRIME noise reduction engaged on DxO, to reduce noise further.

The colors in the Preview screen are different from the box where I enter the picture and dialogue. It's also different from Flickr. I used RGBs, thinking it was best for this site, but evidently not. Which color management should I use here?

I checked the flickr site and to be honest I don't see much different, maybe you have fixed the problem already?? I understood RGBs is the correct format for posting here. I agree with your self critique about a little more NR required, I would also crop off the dark bottom of the trees, just use the tree tops as a base to the image..

You definitely want sRGB (which is a color space) for all web posting for general viewing audiences -- here and elsewhere. You also need to embed the profile to insure more people see it correctly -- there is no profile here. You also need to be using a properly color-managed browser. Firefox is free and appears to show colors more accurately than most of the others.

Thanks for the suggestions, Don and Diane. I only saw the color difference when I was looking at the Preview here on BPN. You can see it twice in one window and the two images were not the same. Now that it's posted, it matches my Flickr version. I'll check out the resources that you suggest Diane.

Interesting about the Preview. I've never used it -- will have a look. I don't see why it would be doing that.

Hi David, good points mentioned already...yep to sRGB for web posting...I wouold like to see a little more detail along the bottom edge if you can reveal more without introducing too much noise...I would do a slight crop to center the moon within the comp.

Hi David, One question why did you shoot this at ISO 800 you could have shoot this at ISO 400 with a shutter speed of 1/320s or 200 at 1/110s and still gotten a sharp image hand holding with the IS engaged.

Don, I could have shot at ISO 400 or 200, but didn't need to.
