Another shot of the bluff, converted to b and w in SEP and shot in IR. Cropped to pano.

Jackie,

Greetings. It's images like this that have me thinking about having a camera converted. I really like the bright foliage against the dark sky. The middle dark bluff is set off well in the middle. I would like to see just a bit more fine contrast and detail in the far bluff. The composition is superb. Thanks for posting.

Cheers,

Hi, Jackie, a perfect IR. I agree with Michael about the far bluff. I love the way the trees are gently bending and making soft curves in contrast to the upright vertical bluffs.:S3:

Very nice! Yes to a little more contrast and detail on the bluff, and I'd give it a slight gradient burn from the bottom.

Great suggestions all. I made some adjustments. Tried to bring back more detail in the far bluff with NIK detail extractor, and some darkening. Slight gradient from the bottom, and I did a curves adjustment for more contrast. Better?

Jackie,

This is what I was thinking:

143641

Nik Silver Efex some mid-tone structure (~25%) and a small amount of fine structure (~15%) masked for the bluff only (rough mask would do). I kinda like the bright foliage of the OP.

Cheers,

This is a great subject for IR with the contrast of the sky and trees. The like the subtle changes in your redo.

Michael hit what was needed on the bluff.

I got it now, an easy fix. Thanks Michael.
