Tripod Canon 1DX Canon 180mm macro ISO 2000 1/160sec f11.
You can see why he is called elephant, when he feeds his mouth parts come forwards with the appearance of an elephant's trunk. I will post another image of this critter later on.
My flashgun died on me unfortunately.

Lovely critter and excellent illustration of the name. I imagine it has an appetite like an elephant, too. Nice comp and focus on the head. If you had a more linear pose that might have been stronger, but I like it a lot as is.

Interesting creature for sure and sharp as can be on the head. But the image leaves me wishing for a different view/composition....

Hi Jonathan,

Like the details and natural environment. For sure different angle of view is possible and would be the option but in this case I'm not sure how to point out the trunk. Wish to resolve green tone on caterpillar. TFS.
