I have to say I do love head on shots and this is my first ever image of this bird. Here is one from yesterday. I wish for some more detail and less noise at the belly part. I removed a leaf from the image.

This is a SUPERB image, Lorant. It's so pleasing to the eye and I just love the color palette, the perch and the pose. Congrats on this one!!!

Lorant, this is wonderful. I always thought that the Mangrove Warbler was the same as our Yellow Warbler. Well, it seems it is the same species, Setophaga petechia, but the one you've shown, with his gorgeous chestnut head, is a different race from ours. It's shown in my Central American books as the "Resident Species", while the one familiar to me is known to you as the "Migrant Species". I learn something every day. I'm usually not a fan of head-on shots, but I just love this. Great look, perch, background; wonderful comp. Is something happening to the breast on our right, about half-way down? Congrats, and thanks for sharing this.

This is one of your best shots, Lorant.
Love the simple but perfect comp.
The color palette and BG tick all the right boxes for me.
I wonder what the line is across the chest?

Very nice portrait of this guy, Lorant. The fact that he's on a mangrove branch is a great addition.

Cheers,

Striking head on shot of this species. The perch quality is awesome. I too was wondering about that bit of plumage disruption on the chest of the bird...Simple clean image design with alot of visual appeal sir...

I love it!! Full impact. Great colours, awesome comp. Perch is clean and well proportioned. You could not have asked for better! The noise on the belly is a non-issue. I'd only darken a bit the bright area behind the foot to our left. Really well done.
