Trying for a low level shot and trying to keep the oof flowers ,not sure if I have succeeded but I like what I have finished with.

Thanks for looking ,any C&C much appreciated.

I love the low angle and OOF background / foreground which makes the bird stand out, I quite like the OOF flowers. The low level light and beautiful colours enhance the image. Maybe could do with a touch of noise reduction to the background, the only real problem for me though Keith is the bird is looking away from the camera.

Great species, and your image shows the iridescence beautifully. Nice low POV and I'm fine with the oof flowers. Wish for a head turn. On our side of the pond this would be called a Northern Lapwing.

A cracking good shot as they say on the other side of the pond.
I love the iridescence in the feathers.
Not sure i'm crazy about the OOF flowers but they do add to the composition.

Hi Keith - I agree with the above comments about the iridescence and low pov. I also agree that a better HA would be preferable. I'm not such a fan of the oof flowers but would burn/blend the ones at the rear of the bird a bit because they are brighter than the others and draw the eye.

TFS,
Rachel

The bird shows some very nice iridescent colors. Love the low shooting angle, OOF foreground/background and the colors of course. Nice work, Keith.

The OOF areas will always divide opinion, I like them. As others have said, it's a real pity that the head angle was not more towards you, but on the flip side, you've caught the colours beautifully

Beautiful bird, love the colors, detail and background. I echo the comments regarding the HA and out of focus flowers.
