A behavior and pose that I've had in my mind to try and capture for a while now….came together the other night. Tricky to execute because it happens in a flash.

The timing is perfect. Hard to catch this very fast moment and you nailed it.
Love the ballerina pose ( reminds me of trampoline artist) and the comp is exactly right.
I might increase the exposure a little bit,
Gail

Well done on an extremely difficult behavior to capture! The pose and water spray are great. Does the bird have prey in its beak?

The word poetry comes to mind for some reason....The cresting wave in the upper part of the frame adds some nice visual interest too. A fine example of where a subject can be centered and work very well...

Excellent capture. I would also second for adding a bit of exposure.

Great timing of a very attractive subject. The shot just balances perfectly composition wise, although I do agree on a tad more exposure

I have been shooting allot of Terns lately so I can relate to how difficult this rising shot can be. Love the pose and the water spray. I like the comp you chose also. One more for bumping up the overall exposure by a bit, maybe a third.
Nice work Grace
