5DIII, Sigma macro 180mm 2.8 IS, tripod, exposure in manual mode, f/7.1, 1/800s, ISO800.
Light: natural plus MT-24 Twin flash + diffuser on lens (1/32 power each), 580EX II 1/1 power in white umbrella above the subject.
PP: midtones curves, blue filter.
Photo full size: 2668 x 3565 pixels.
Location: Croatia near Sava river.

This is just awesome, with the two subjects so sharp and the BG falling off so nicely. It would be nice to have the near wing more in focus, but it would take focus stacking, which may not have been an option. The rest is so sharp and detailed, I don't mind it. Wonderful lighting!

Thank you Diane. Yes you are right, would be great to have near wing in focus but due to outdoor limitations I was not able to this.

Hi Miroslav. It's amazing how large the prey items of some spiders are. This one must have a very potent and fast acting venom! A great behavioral scene captured with good sharpness in both subjects (the soft wing is not bothering me). I might suggest toning down the bright spot to the left of the bee's abdomen, but otherwise this is very nicely done!

Amazing predator prey image. Lovely BKGR. It screams for a sharp near wing....
