Caspian Tern is preparing to land if there is enough space.
Taken at a nesting colony site that has slowly been take over by Double-crested Cormorants.
Thanks for looking.

Like everything about this image, Karl. The exposure is right on, whites and blacks perfect with great detail. Beautiful BG, wing position, fanned tail, calling, and feet down.

You did well in relatively harsh light. You might try a bit of a reverse S Curves adjustment to reduce the contrast.....

Where?

Thanks, Arthur.
Burlington Bay, Burlington Ontario. The breeding colonies are on four man made islands close to shore.
Due to the local situation the shooting time only start at 8:30 AM when the light is already harsh.
I'll try what you suggested.

Thanks Carl for the info. Do you need a boat? Would love to see a less contrasty repost.

No, I don't use a boat and I never saw anyone using it other that the Naturalists.
I tried the less contrasty version but it did not look good so I gave up.
Will post one more soon that might look better.

What an attractive image, the whites are just stunning. That soft background sets him off well.

Excellent pose. The whites look pretty good to me. I think possibly the background has been over blurred/NRd?
One for the wall Karl:)
