I know that some on this forum prefer tighter crops, but I have gone for something a little different on this one (given the BG and quality of the image).

The bottom one looks better as the belly and the head show more details and brighter.

Yes, you did a good job of opening up the face on the bottom image. The face could go a bit lighter.

Thanks Richard. The image held up fairly well to a very substantial crop.

Image holds up fairly well to crop but I am unsure as to the highlight in the eye...it just seems wrong as presented. I'd experiment with it a bit to improve the image.

Great image considering the big crop plus this is not a very easy falcon to photograph. Thanks for sharing this.
