This species rarely stays still but this one paused briefly allowing me to get a few snaps.

Allen: Nice butterfly. Yes, they rarely sit still. You had some pretty harsh light there and it shows most of all in the flower with some strong shadows. The butterfly, however, looks great in that light.

Beautiful butterfly on a pretty flower, well composed and sharp. And the background is excellent. You might be able to reduce the flower shadows somewhat in PS, but this is very nice as is.

Delightful image well composed gorgeous colours. Exposure good, i may just consider lifting those blacks at the base of the forewing just a little bit. The hairs around the head - I am sure are in focus and perhaps they are not sharpened as much as the rest of the butterfly??

Hi Allen. You captured a beautiful pose on a beautiful flower! Also nice comp, exposure, and background. I would agree with Jon about trying to open up the blacks at the base of the forewing a little.
