There were not that many ducks around last year, so I was content to shoot this Dunlin for a while. The constraint in shooting this was not being able to move much given that this was shot on a jetty (and it was extremely windy).

Camera Model: Canon EOS 20D, Shutter speed: 1/2000 sec, Aperture: 8, Exposure mode: Manual, Flash: On, Metering mode: Manual, ISO: 400, Lens: 500mm, Focal length: 700mm.

It's a beautiful image and sharpness is excellent. I am not sure about format - maybe it is too tightly cropped (maybe more space at right should be useful).

Nice posse you captured :)
I would tend to want more space on the left, which is the way the bird is facing.

For my taste, I would go back bit in sharpening.

Sweet!!!

I like it when shorebirds rest this way - nicely photographed. I too would prefer more space at left.

Nice angle and BG. Sharpening looks fine here, but more space on the left would be good.

A very nice shot just wish for some more room to the left of the bird.

I think this image would of worked better in horizontal, allowing more room around your subject. With that said, You did very well with the exposure and details.

Very striking pose and I like the perch. The BG compliments thiis image beautifully. My only nit would be the cropping. I too would like to see more space all around and even more on the left. Very lovley capture !

A very fine and classic shorebird image. But I agree with the nits already posted.

I would also love to see this wonderful image in a landscape format with more room to the left as opposed to portrait. Very nice.
