This juvenile Argiope trifasciata (orb spider) was found in a fig tree close to the coast. It was impossible to get a dorsal shot without disturbing her so decided to get a good full frame shot of the ventral area and spinnerettes

Great capture, but it seems that you couldn't get your focal plane parallel to the spider....so the right part is OOF...It can be, sometimes, difficult to get in the right position....:S3:

Hi Shane. Excellent sharpness within your DOF and good diffusion of the flash. I also like your comp and background. I would agree that this very nice image would be even stronger if you could have gotten the legs on the right side within your DOF. :S3:

Good composition with the center of the web off to the side and the spider filling the frame vertically. Would like to see more sharpness on the spider, if possible.
