Hi There

One of the things that you can do at the National Bird of Prey Centre is have a Harris Hawk fly to your fist.....at least that's the plan....However as the old adage goes "Never work with Animals and Children"....things don't always go as expected.

This is a shot of what might best be called a "missed approach" as the Harris Hawk decides he preferred the look of a branch in a nearby tree to the food in the Falconers glove.

Yeah.....those birds have a mind of their own. Tis better that he landed in a nearby tree than on the hand someone with food....and no glove. What a thrill just to be that close to them. I like the composition with this one. There is just enough of everything to tell the story. Well done....as always.

One image, one story...:) Congrats John. I like it. I like the wing angles and the powerfull facial expression on your bird. How tame can these guys become with the proper care and training???:confused::D
