Canon 7D, 300 f4 IS, 1.4x TC (Tamron Pro SP)
ISO 400, f18, 1/125s
tripod, cable release, mirror lockup

Following up the earlier post of a male with this female. Shot it a couple days ago. I like the perch - a little different than the usual dead stick.

Decided on a square crop for this. Any comments appreciated...

You nailed it Allen absolutely superb. I quite like the crop but would also like to see a landscape and portrait version - great shot well done, super focus and details, background idyllic.

This is great, the perch is nicely scaled and colorful, the dragonfly displays great, colors in bg play well with both.

How was this lit?

Wonderful -- sharpness, color, all top-notch! The square crop works for me here, but you could also try a version with the flower just a squeak more off-center, moved to the right.
