This is an in-camera blur of an aspen grove without leaves. I used topaz simplify 4, impressions natural, decreased hue/saturation, curves layer, fractalius layer 11%. For me those white aspen trunks are just a perfect for in-camera blurs, at all seasons.

Very abstract, like the effect that you've applied to your image to get the desired look. I could see this image framed and on a wall. Nice work

Nancy,

Greetings. Very cool. I particularly like the detail set against the blur, I'm guessing the fractalius effect. I would be inclined (so to speak) to give it a slight cw rotation. Thanks for posting.

Cheers,

-Michael-

I love the abstract nature of the image, one of my favorite treatments that results in a blend of graphic and organic looks. Nice contrast between the light trees and dark background and the Simplify treatment puts the final touch on the scene. Well done.

Thanks all! Michael, I think you're right about a bit of rotation.

Chiaroscuro-like Nancy. I like the dark tones accented by the thin white branches. Nice work!

All has been said above -- fantastic! I love aspen groves and this is one out of a fairy tale.

This is really great, Nancy - very creative and well executed. :S3: I think aspens lend themselves so nicely to blurs.

Beautiful. Very evocative. You handled this just right. I expect to see sprites poking out from the undergrowth!

Exceptional abstract- It converys a peaceful, almost spiritual feeling with it's balance between light and dark. It also works in portrait orientation, seeming more like a reflection on water, though I do prefer landscape. Beautifully executed.

Very nice. I really like the darkness. Very creative. I'm conflicted about the lighter band across the bottom.
