Enough warblers for now. Here's another nemesis bird, often heard but seldom seen (for me at least). This one showed up while I was hoping for warblers last month, and gave me two poses in different locations about 10 seconds apart. One had a nice bg but had a few too many difficult branches across the body; the other was almost clear but with a lousy bg. This combines the two. I thought about evicting the twig on the right, but decided it helped counterbalance the image. What do you think?

Well done in relatively harsh direct overhead lighting. You might wish to evict the large twig that goes through the tail....

Nicely captured and harshness of light handled well, Bill. Yes the light is harsh, but its direction helps enhance and define the feathers. Like the shadow detail, and the BG gives a spotlight quality. I was going to suggest toning down the twig on right, but then you would have to tone the other twigs on left to match. I would remove it and don't feel it would look unbalanced. Also I might crop in a bit from left and a little from right taking him a bit more off center. Still like as posted.

Excellent shot, Bill! Very nice exposure and feather details! Agree with the suggestion to clone out that twig! TFS

Thanks everyone. I guess it's unanimous. Here's a repost without the twig, and a bit of crop off the right.

Very very sweet image, Bill Sir.
Wonderful color pallet. Love the way greens in the BG and green colors leave nicely complimenting with wing colors.
Very nice pose, sharp details and composition. Re post is superb.

Satish.

The repost rocks as it looks so much cleaner. But only 1000%
