Cut at the same time as the wild rose, did very well in a vase, and photographed today.
In a lightbox with remote flash and background, tripod D5100 1/200s f/18 ISO 100.

First class, an almost "perfect" image, the point John raises is one that chimes with me and probably many photographers this side of the pond, I suspect however that over there there may well be contrary opinions - lets see.

Well, way over here, on the Left Coast (across the big pond, a couple of mountain ranges and a small pond full of duckweed) the missing petal is the perfect grace note! I'd love the image anyway, but that touch makes it really special!

I like everything about this though I would not be crushed if the missing petal were present. Ron has got this technique nailed!
