Another of the multiple looks this little fellow gave us last week. Cropped from horizontal.

What a super fun image, Bill. Love to see the bird hanging on like this. Details and sharpness look really good. Comp works great. This is a winner!

I recall asking if you got any images of him hanging on the leaf. Well you sure did and what a super image with a great head turn and detail.

Hi Bill, perfect comp, and you have captured a lovely angled hanging pose too. Great eye.

Why are they called blue wing?
You have a lovely pose and I like that I can see how small this little guy is.
I used the browser scroll and cropped out the branch and I really liked the minimalist look it produced with just the stem andleaf hanging down from the frame.

Thank you everyone! Gail, "Blue-winged" is a bit of a misnomer. The wings are really sort of bluish-grey. I also looked at cropping out the upper branch. I guess it looked just a bit too minimalist for me, although I'll agree it's not the most attractive of branches.
