Handheld Canon 1DX Canon 180mm macro ISO 800 -0.3 1/250 sec f11.
I found this little chap on the dock seed head, the wind was a little frisky so I snipped off the seed head and stuck it in a crack in the field gate, it didn't flop about quite so much. (To be honest though it did!!) The beauty of this idea meant I could take images with the sun both in front and behind the subject.
All C&C welcome.

Love the arching dock which frames it nicely I think dock seeds are really photogenic too. Good one.
Cheers

PS It think you'l l find its Araniella cucurbitna-not a crabby!

Thanks John just testing when I posted I wondered if it was a crab or not and if not I hadn't got a clue! I presume proportionally speaking the front legs not long enough for crab??

Hi Jon. I don't often see spiders with this lovely green coloring! I would agree that it looks more like an orb-weaver than a crab spider. Very nice light and background. I,too, like the way the stem arches over the spider. You might consider taking a little off the left - though it's a minor point for me. Overall, this is very nicely done.

I agree with Steve's suggestions for composition.

Hi Jon, I really like the arching flowers and the green on the spider. Nice composed.
