Decide to try my hand at something different.

Canon 7D - 70-200mm f2.8 L IS USM MK II @ 168mm
ISO 500 - f9 - 1/320 sec + CP

I used Viveza 2 with control points to isolate areas in the BG to soften and darken areas.
Topaz plug in Clean and Detail -

All C&C welcome

Hi Karl
Like it- certainly different..Nice to see a bit of detail or variation in the back too. Maybe a little careful dodging to high light the drops a little more ?
Cheers
John

Different it is, and I like it. The background is very nice, but maybe almost too nice drawing the eye more than it should--John's suggestion might draw the eye back to the figure in the foreground restoring balance.

Hi Carl. All those dew drops are very cool and I like the diagonal comp. I would agree about the background - especially in the lower left. The brightness and all those reddish tones draw my eye away from your subject. You might try to darken the bright areas of the background and selectively brighten the darker areas of your subject to help keep our eye where you want it. :S3:
