Now there's a macro capable of giving you nightmares! Look at the detail in those dew drops! Fabulous!

Could you tell me more about the set up you used to catch this? Was it in the wild or in a controled environment? How far away were the flashes from the mantis? Anything else you did that helped create such a stunning image?

Wow thats a super capture Ramon - love the detail and reflections in the droplets. What was the origin of the water droplets?

Hi Ramon Sweet image !!!! I like the intensity and in your face look !!!! Great dof and sharpness. Don't mind the antennae being cut since its is deliberate but might suggesting a centering?

Pleas do give more details if you are able. Excellent image !!!!

This is seriously good Ramon. The drops, the detail, the DOF all working to perfection. I like the off-center placement.

Hi everybody! Thnaks for your comments and insights!
I wanted to answer some interrogants that you had, like if it was taken under a controles enviroment, yes it was, I also used a little spray bottle (the kind we use to clean sun glasses, but filled with water) for the drops, the flashes were pretty close to the subject but not in their max power, I am really glad you liked the rersult, it has no corpp. Again, thank you very much! All apreciations are welcome!

Awesome work, Ramon!! Incredible detail and perspective! I agree with, Al... I think this would look really tough with your subject dead-center.

I'll add my kudos to this one too. Well done! Vertical, a bit more room at the top to get the top of the droplet and I think some of the empty space on the right could be cropped but otherwise a great photo.

Hey Ramon,
Agree! outstanding details.........and will add that I almost never like a centered composition......but I think and agree with some of the others that it would work very well here!
