This has got to be some of the sweetest bokeh I've ever managed to capture. I don't know which I like more...the bokeh or the flower. :D

Canon 40D, Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L USM
ISO 200, f4 @ 1/100
Handheld, natural pre-dusk light
Eval Meter, AWB

Small crop and a tweak in curves.

Hi Julie,
The OOF BG is super! the flower does look to have a shadow around.........possibly from movement........but doesn't IMO detract! You are doing very well with the soft focus!

A nice clean, simple composition Julie. Some halo around the buds ??

Yes, I noticed the shadow when I was tweaking the photo - it has to be from movement because it was there before I did anything in post-processing. I didn't even need to sharpen this one at all so I know its not from that.

Agree on the bokeh Julie !!!! All about feel and this has it. Might suggest to intensify the purple in the buds just a bit. Would give it an extra dimension . I like it a lot !!!

Hey Julie, I really like the soft painted look. Great BG. I might be tempted to crop a little off the sides. Well done.
