Manual exposure, matrix metering Gitzo Tripod

1/320s, F10, ISO 220


Natural light, cropped for comp, and sharpening

Thats what I call a crest ! Incredible range of tstuff there is on here. I know its as it was, but I might tone down the dark tail shadow but no big deal.

I like the pose and the BG, perch is nice too. Light was a bit on the harsh side and the details look soft to me. Your settings were not optimal here, shutter speed was too slow, you can increase the ISO to gain shutter speed. At F/10 your files will look soft with this camera as it will be affected by diffraction. Use wider aperture. All of these will improve sharpness.

Welcome to BPN Pamela. What a great looking subject. Love the pose, the raised crest and the BG. Nice perch too. Yes, it looks a bit harsh and yes the detail is lacking. Shooting at a wider aperture will help. Keep em coming.

Superb image of beautiful bird. I like the pose with nice crest, nice perch and back ground. Rest is mentioned above.
