This GH had just finished a major task. He had a fish tangled in that mossy vegetation
hanging on the right. He really worked to get them separated.

400mm w/1.4x, ISO 800, 1/640, f/9, +.67 ev....cropped from horizontal

Hey Dave,
Man you are getting some killer grenn heron shots!........That BG is super and in this one......with your crop selection..........love the little greenery dangling from the perch..........throw in the leg action.........very nice all around! Maybe my favorite!

Very nice pose, soft light and BG. I might sharpen the bird a tad more. What is the first name of this little guy again? :)

I agree that this is the best of the series Dave. The dangling plant really adds to the photo as does the leg lift. I might be inclined to boost saturation of the bird. Thanks for posting!

Really great image, Dave! Love the pose and perch. I agree that it might tweak it just a bit more with sharpening and brightness.
