Sticklebacks C. ( Gasterosteus aculeatus )
with Hornwort ( Ceratophylum)
Spent a lot of time last year building up the stock files on native fish. This pair of Stickebacks spent as much time watching me as I did them !
Nikon D200 . Standard lens + No.two close up lens. f22 ISO100
Two Mecablitz flash heads 402,s -40 years old ! Baffled with varying layers of greaseproof paper. Small slave flash on top of tank.
Crop from landscape and lost the original !!

Unusual shot - well caught, lighting is good maybe just a tad high on the fish furthest away. Do you do these indoors or out - just wondering about the bubbles and water temp.

Jon
Done in tanks indoors. No prpblem with temp or bubbles . Obviously best not in a window else algae and temp could be excessive.

These were in a conventional tanl -not one of my custom made ones.

Hi John. Sticklebacks are interesting fish with cool behaviors. I like the comp and good job getting them both in your DOF!
