The OC Breakfast Buffet

It's been a busy stretch for me so I haven't had much time to participate in BPN, which is unfortunate because I've got some nice images to share. Here's a shot from Florida taken in March. American Oystercatchers were high on my list of species that I wanted to photograph on the trip, so I was pleased that they were so cooperative.

The detail and lighting are excellent, as is the feeding pose. I love the little squirt of water coming from the seafood. For me it's a little large in the frame, but that's just a personal preference thing. Sweet shot, Doug.

Perfect light and exposure control. I love the super white whites and the richly detailed blacks. The clam and the liquid squirting from it is great.
Would love to get an image like this some day. Being super picky, but a lower shooting angle, if possible, is about the only thing I can think of that would upgrade this great image.

Love the angle exposure all that but my eye does seem to keep getting drawn to the OOF gray rock between the birds head and the left edge of the frame. As great as it is I think it might even be stronger with that rock taken out.
