A very dull evening out on the beach hence the low shutter speed and high ISO. This little bird posed for me :S3:

Thanks for looking and any advice as always appreciated

William:

Nice job under difficult lighting conditions. A bit tight framing on the left, and I might lower the luminosity of the foreground just a bit.

Noise us well controlled in the background, but showing up in the dark bib and eye patch. What NR if any did you use?

Nice pose, seeing feet would have been nice if he cooperated.

Cheers

Randy

Nice shore bird and light in this one.
I would give more roome on left as the tail is almost touching the frame. NR on BG looks clean and good.

What a great setting for this bird. Love seeing the colors and textures of the environment. Only wish for a little more space on the left.

An heroic ISO William, I'm continually amazed by what can be achieved with modern cameras. I think in the circumstances you have done a great job. I agree with others that a little more tail room would be an advantage. Cheers, Ian

Hi William, not sure about the stones and the Bg something does not look just right, afraid I can't elaborate and could be down to my viewing, the bird itself looks excellent

I would suggest a smaller crop to get more space on the left and I think the noise will become a little less apparent.

Some good points raised buy the guys, William. Agree re the setting, it suits the bird down to the ground,
