I was taking back lit shots of the Gerbera daisy.........when i noticed the patterns on the leaf..........I shot it at a very high ISO.......as I was handholding.........did take some tripod mounted and lower ISO's...but i kind of liked the texture. Mark 3, Sigma 180mm macro at ISO 1600, f22 and 1/80 sec.
As always comments welcomed and appreciated.

what?.....not f/32?
wimp!!

I really like the hue and texture of this one.
The bit of softness in lrc seems out of place for such a sharp image(IMO)

Hey Dave,
I tried f32.................but at 1/30 sec handheld........even I'm not that steady! I did do some tripod versions.......but I liked the pattern in this one better! I'm not afraid of f32.........just trying to ween myself off!

Hey Dave.........Yep! Love it! I even tested it against a Canon 180........only thing canon had on it was the finish......my paint is peeling........but for half the price......I can live with it!

I like the texture and pattern displayed in this leaf Roman, and well placed on the diagonal!! Did well for handheld.

My Gerberas from the florist don't come with leaves - maybe you have to grow your own :D

John, you didn't get leaves with yours? Oh man, you're missing half the fun!

This is gorgeous, Roman. And I hate to get you started on shooting flowers and plants for the rest of your life but, if you like this leaf, you really have to check out a shamrock plant some time. Mine's in bloom right now...maybe I need to go have a look at that one again...

The texture and detail on this is amazing. A Sigma 180 you say? Hmmm...

Comp and patterns are great Roman and the noise is a plus in this case.

Hey Roman, I tend to like color images better then B&W, but I actually prefer the B&W on this one.
