Hi Karl, you couldnt have captured a better wing extension, and overall sharp too. Well exposed around the eye - shows up nicely in the dark cap. I quite like the perch. Well captured.

That's what I try to tell all "my" birds - if you're going to choose a sawed off perch, then choose a nicely weathered one like this :)
Perfect timing for peak extension. Nicely composed and exposure looks great. There's a halo around the head that would be easy to fix. The subtle head turn adds to the success.

Just drop-dead gorgeous! And wonderful detail and sharpness for hand held at that magnification.

What would you think about adding a bit more on the right, or else cropping into the piling just a little? The crowding at that edge draws my attention away from the beautiful bird, but then I'm easily bothered. :w3
