This image was taken in February in Costa Rica. This was my first chance to get an image of the Quetzal at a decent angle. It was a treat to watch two pairs feed on these berries. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

Wonderful shot! I've been looking for an opportunity to capture this same bird! Very well done. Where in Costa Rica did you take this?

Great photo and bird. Huh, what the colors..... It's sharp and I like the position of the bird. I'm little bit confused why f11, is it 100% crop? With less the bird can be better separated from busy BG. Congratulations! Cheers! Miro.

Love seeing images of this bird.
Good comp and even though the BG is busy, you have a nice separation of the bird from the BG.
I suspect you were at F11 to make sure the entire tail was sharp?

Well done on capturing such a spectacular bird. I think this is a really nice image and like that it shows the birds surroundings.

Hi Jim, no question on which way to create a comp with this fellow. Excellent detail, sharp, and I could look at the tail for ages. Yes, he is separated from the BG well enough.

Thanks everyone for the comments and suggestions. Andres this image was taken in the parking lot just before you enter Monteverde Forest. Miro I used f11 to keep the tail sharp as Gail suspected. I used various settings and liked this one the best.
