Or I could have just called it "Spooning", but I thought there was something operatic about the pose. From High Island Rookery a few weeks ago. Separately adjusted Levels on BG and birds, cloned out part of an OOF egret in the UL (they seemed to show up in every frame at the rookery). I know I cut off the virtual feet, but I wanted to concentrate on the heads.

Nice shot of these breeding plumage sponnies Bill. I like that you cropped it tighter to concentrate on their colorful heads. Love the pose. Nice work

Very nice! Just a couple of head shots might be cool too.

Thanks Jay. I had considered that. I think this probably pushes the crop a bit too far, but just for fun.....

Like the poses they gave you, Bill. Very expressive moment, and nicely captured brilliant colors. Prefer the OP.

Both work very well for me! The virtual feet aren't a big issue with what appears to be an angle looking slightly down. The crop is very cool! Still very good IQ and the concentration on the operatic (indeed!) poses is excellent!

Both posts are good but i think I prefer the OP b/c of the killer breeding colors depicted.

Bill you got a nice picture here showing the habitat where this beautiful birds live. Also, you got some nice sweet light. Sharpeness in repost is superb.

I like both shots but have to admit I miss the virtual feet in the OP.
Good DOF and poses you captured,
Gail
