Cracking image, I would add in a bit of extra sharpening though. I've seen a lot of sedge warbler images from your neck of the woods, is this one quite confiding?

Great pose and nice smooth background. I'd try to bring out a little more detail in the breast feathers. Maybe bring up the microcontrast a little, and back off on the exposure a tad bit in the breast.

One of my target species this year, Jonathan. Lighting on this is very nice, as is the singing pose. Agree re the extra sharpening.

Thanks for the feedback, I sense the lack of detail is due to the bright light. I returned this morning at 7.15am and the light was a little softer. The pale feathers have been toned down but I agree with your comments.
Ashley the bird is confiding my tip is once you see the location stay with it don't move from one spot to another just keep a respectful distance and they come out for you. Also linnets and grasshopper warbler here!

Love this Jonathan. The birds are so hard to catch out in the open.
I agree with a little more sharpening but wouldn't change anything else.

Nice calling pose and lovely colors. Agree with a bit more sharpening Jon. I like your comp and the bird placement.

I know the area it's been taken in, if I loved closer or could travel up there myself I'd be around there more. I will have to try things more locally tbh as I know they are present it's just getting the time to myself to go and photograph them.
