I can't really contribute much to the theme, I just don't really make time to photograph captive creatures at all, so I'll keep throwing the wild pics into the mix. :e3
This was taken on my recent safari to the Chobe river in Botswana. We put the customised photographic boat into this inlet where a large herd of Cape Buffalo were feeding on the reeds on this floodplain called "Puku Flats".

Nikkor 70-200mm f2.8 VR-II @ 200mm

Hi Morkel - nice scene with good detail in the skies. Were the buffs wet? They seem very dark/black and I think you could bring out a bit more detail on them. I do wish that the buff in the fg/center wasn't intersecting with one facing the opposite way. However, it's all about the low pov here which works well.

Nice, Morkel! Agree with Rachel about the buf's a little dark but it's a beautiful photo regardless. Magic sky!

Hi Morkel,
great low POV and the buffs lined up are working good.
I also feel the buffs need a bit more detail........I think a slight darkening of the sky could help the image.
